Principal Leadership is the key to achieving high quality education. It needs to be recognized, rewarded, celebrated and nurtured.

Towards this purpose, the Council for Educational Change established the $10,000 Leonard Miller Principal Leadership AwardLeonard Miller was the Chair of the South Florida Annenberg Challenge from 1997 up until the time of his death in 2002.  He was also the founder of the Challenge’s successor organization, the Council for Educational Change.

Mr. Miller firmly believed that Principal Leadership was the catalyst to ignite school improvement. His leadership, vision and expertise inspired the Council’s Principal Leadership programs.

This Award shines a spotlight on extraordinary Principal leadership and the importance of the Principalship.
