Leader to Leader: Sharing Successful Business Practices

Funded by a grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, the Council is implementing the Leader-to-Leader: Sharing Successful Business Practices initiative in 18 schools in Miami-Dade County. The purpose of the program is to provide assistance and support for principals assigned to schools with challenging student populations. The support centers around a business partner to focus on the entrepreneurial aspects of school leadership, and a successful retired school principal. Together, this team develops a plan to improve student achievement at the school. Data collected as a part of this project will be used to develop a “curriculum” to be used in the preparation of principals assigned to similar schools.
