Eric Montes de Oca

Eric Montes de Oca holds the position of Vice President and is also an Equity Partner of Grycon LLC, a leading South Florida General Contractor and Construction Management firm.  He has worked in the construction industry for the past twenty three years, and eighteen of those years have been with the Grycon team. Eric is a graduate of Florida International University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management.  At Grycon, he is responsible for business development, field operations, and also serves as Project Executive on large scale projects. In addition to his roles at Grycon, Eric is President elect of the Latin Builders Association which is the largest Hispanic construction association in the United States.

In the City of Miami Beach where he resides, Eric is a member of the Transportation, Parking and Bicycle-Pedestrian Facilities Committee. Due to the commitment and dedication Eric has displayed to the City of Miami Beach, he has been recognized as an exceptional citizen by the City’s Mayor and Board of Commissioners.  In addition to his volunteer work with the City of Miami Beach Eric also contributes much of his personal time to charitable causes throughout South Florida. As President Elect for the LBA, he works exceptionally close with their charity group named The LBA Children & Families Foundation. Eric was instrumental in the process of realizing the vision of establishing the LBA Academy Charter High School in Hialeah Gardens.

The South Florida landscape is lined with multiple high profile projects that Eric has been directly responsible for bringing to fruition. For example, Lincoln Place and Bentley Bay in Miami Beach are striking buildings that are excellent representations of some of his earlier works. Most recently he has been serving as the Project Executive for one of the largest Projects Mount Sinai Medical Center on Miami Beach has ever undertaken.

As is evidenced by his daily actions Eric has a tremendous passion for the construction industry, his alma mater, and his local community. His achievements in the construction community and in his local community are only paralleled by his role as a father to his two beautiful children Lucas and Gabriella.
