Role of the Coach
Coaches are professional educators who understand the public school system, have curriculum expertise and desire to make a positive contribution. The coach plays the following role in the PASS program:
  • Work as an employee of the CEO and principal
  • Be a catalyst for change
  • Serve as a liaison between business and school leaders to translate ideas into action
  • Help implement the business/PASS plan
  • Serve as an educational advisor to the partnership
  • Conduct data-based assessment and other needed workshops for staff
  • Model leadership/instructional performance
  • Have flexible time of approximately two days per month during the school year to meet with partners
  • Be cause driven, not money driven
  • Assist with monitoring and annual reports
  • Assist with data compilation and evaluation
  • Assist with identification and selection of trainers, as needed
  • Attend PASS meetings

When you have a great CEO and a great coach, it's a wonderful opportunity to share their ideas.
